Integrated Data Security, Inc. (IDS) developed and maintains a Tier-IV performance level datacenter in Champaign, IL.

IDS has invested in a Novec 1230 non-liquid fire suppression system.  This is the latest technology in environment friendly gas fire suppression systems.  The Novec 1230 ensures equipment integrity in the instance of a building fire.

A diesel generator standing 1 story tall with a 48-hour fuel capacity (constantly monitored during outages) maintains uninterrupted power for servers and building security.  Each rack is attached to an autonomous building battery backup allowing for the switch to generator power if needed.  In addition, each server is connected to a battery backup that provides an uninterrupted power supply (UPS) during the conversion from primary power supply to generator.

The datacenter temperature is controlled and monitored by a chilled water cooling system. The temperature is maintained at a level required for optimal performance of the equipment housed in the facility.

Currently, IDS maintains a scalable space with several of their own full 42-unit racks, and can be expanded on relatively short notice.  Each rack has its own mounted power supply system and monitoring software, ensuring bandwidth, uptime, and network activity are logged and communicated.

IDS offers many different packages of professional 'managed hosting' services. These include data backup, archive and disaster recovery services for multiple platforms ensuring that both your hosting and Business Continuity needs are met.  Additionally, IDS provides shared bandwidth and server space of our Virtual Private Server (VPS).  Several clients are currently utilizing our co-location capabilities to mount their own dedicated servers, backup systems, and internal VPN servers. IDS can be as transparent as necessary, or fully involved in server management as your outsourced network administrators.

Small businesses are using the IDS virtual server plans to act as data recovery disaster sites, business continuity servers and central storage repositories.

The bandwidth offered can be dedicated or shared. IDS can partition off as little as a quarter megabit/sec, dedicated to your websites or servers, and up to multiple DS3 (T3 45 Megabit/sec) lines available to your rack(s) or server(s).
